Vicinia Map Library

I developed a map library package to enhance Google Maps with new features, allowing other applications within Cntxts Inc. to use those capabilities seamlessly without any extra code.

The significant additions include 2D and 2.5D maps for buildings, improved pins and information display, and the implementation of routing and directions to guide users from their source to their destination.

The library kept growing after that and I stayed its main developer: I wrote about two thirds of its 1,500 commits, and it has shipped more than 600 tagged releases, up to version 1.215. It now has around twenty renderers (buildings, floors, indoor routing across buildings, parking, shuttles, closures, clustering and more), a floor picker, theming and an accessibility layer, with 31 example apps showing how to use it.
