A security-aware hardware scheduler for modern multi-core systems with hard real-time constraints

Moving task scheduling out of the operating system and into dedicated hardware makes it faster and more predictable on multi-core chips. In a system with hard real-time deadlines, though, the scheduler also has to take security into account. This paper presents a security-aware hardware scheduler for modern multi-core systems that still meets hard real-time constraints. The design and how it was evaluated are in the paper.
